Spencer in Soonerland

     One lazy afternoon, Spencer Rattler and Drake Stoops were sitting on campus at OU with nothing to do. Drake was reading the football playbook and Spencer was bored just watching the squirrels run by. Out of nowhere, Spencer sees Boomer and Sooner run by them and up the South Oval. They were looking at their wristwatches saying that they were going to be late. Spencer was confused because usually, they don't talk. Drake had his head so deep in the playbook that he didn't even notice them run by. What might they have to be late for? He decides to get up and follow them. They run and jump inside a hole at the top of the South Oval outside of the Bizzell Memorial Library. With nothing better to do that day, he decides to take a leap of faith (literally) and follow them in. 

    Spencer begins to fall for what seems like forever. It's mostly dark, but he is able to make out what objects are falling around him. He sees football gear, jerseys, locker room snacks, and even signed memorabilia. Who knows where all of it is coming from. After falling for a while, he gets tired and starts to doze off to sleep. Once he reaches the bottom, his fall is cushioned by a pile of padding. Spencer stands up and looks around and sees another tunnel straight ahead of him. Boomer and Sooner are at the very end, still running. He picks himself up off the ground and dusts himself off, but when he looks back up, Boomer and Sooner are gone. After walking down the tunnel for a much smaller amount of time, he comes across a bunch of locked doors. 

    Spencer looked down and saw a golden key. It didn't match any of the doors around him. Confused on where to go, he looked down and saw a door that was about ten inches tall. He bent down to look inside, and it was the entrance to the football stadium. Since he was over six feet tall, he wasn't going to be able to fit in the door. After looking around, he saw a small bottle of red Gatorade that said 'drink me'. He drank the Gatorade and shrunk to about ten inches tall. He grabbed the key and entered the stadium. Once he got inside, there was another bottle of Gatorade, this time red, that he drank. This time, he grew back to his normal size and played catch in the stadium with some of his teammates.

Author's note

This story is s spin-off of Alice in wonderland but set at OU! In this story, Spencer Rattler (the OU quarterback) replaces Alice, Drake Stoops (wide receiver) replaces her sister, and Boomer and Sooner replace the white rabbit. In the initial story, Alice sees a rabbit with a watch saying he's going to be late and jumps down a rabbit hole. She follows him down and falls, goes down the tunnel, and finds the set of doors. The only difference is that it takes her quite a while to be able to get into the small door and she has to eat multiple things before she can get into the garden behind the door. Happy bedlam week!
